Candice has a Master of Science Degree in Geography, with a specialization in Natural Resources Management and a master’s certificate in International Research and Development from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Biology from the University of Guyana.

Candice is a development specialist with work experience in St Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, and Guyana. At present, she works as an independent consultant in the Caribbean region. Her areas of concentration are natural resources management, project management, sustainable finance, community development, youth, and gender mainstreaming.

Candice has a long history and passion for community and local development. She has worked with Non-governmental organizations in Guyana and the Caribbean region, in various capacities starting at the age of 16. She was the co-founder of Guyana’s first environmental NGO, the Guyana Research Environmental Education Network (GREEN). She continues to serve as an adviser to local NGOs across the region especially in Guyana and the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Candice is a mother of two. She is an avid consumer rights advocate, organic agriculture supporter,
conservation fanatic, and jogger.
